Check in was uncomfortable as the reception door was locked we had to enter via the pub side and we felt very uncomfortable at the locals looked us up and down . Very loud and rowdy pub . Rooms were good bed was really comfortable
We ate lunch at the cafe between Christmas and New Year. Delicious vegetarian lentil soup for me, and creamy mushroom soup for my partner. Happy child with chicken nuggets and chips. Helpful and cheerful staff. A great place to eat, relax and keep warm in beautiful Balloch.
A super cute inn right on the main drag of Balloch. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Check in staff were nice. We hung out in the lounge at night and chatted with some locals and the bartender, very kind folks all around! We were just in for the one day, but I'd have been happy to stay longer!
Excellent place to stay. Me and my sister, stayed for three nights, we had a large twin room. Very comfy beds. Superb place to have breakfast, just down the stairs, best square sausage we've had in years and the staff were so friendly. The bar was also a great place to spend the last hour or two before bed. And in the room, you would never guess their is a great pub down below. Will definitely stay there again, when next in the area.
We where in the pub on a Tuesday evening and night . Great pints of Guinness this is from a Irish man. Lovely bar with very friendly and welcoming locals and staff. We will definitely call back next time we are on our fishing trip .
Was part of our annual bowls Tour weekend. We were travelling back from Oban to East field BC in Dumbarton. Stopped here for lunch and a few drinks. The hospitality was excellent, food most enjoyable washed down with a good variety of drinks. A first class choice from our organiser.
We visited balloch this morning as it was a lovely day. We walked round the waterfront, visited the country park castle and then looked for somewhere for lunch. We looked at a few places but the Waterside Inn looked the most friendliest and welcoming. We stopped for lunch, I had the macaroni and my husband had the chicken burger. The food was delicious and I would definitely eat here again! We even got a cheeky wee discount on our drinks. 10/10
Perfect location on the edge of the loch Lovely rooms Bar great and staff friendly Didn't eat here as food isn't served mondays and Tuesdays Breakfast wasn't until 930 which was too late for us.
